We can be confident in saying that we really dont know the answers of how to respond to the huge challenge that is cliamte change. It is a many headed beast and is going to affect us in all sorts of ways we cannot anticipate. We need to mitigate and adapt we are told but how exactly we are left guessing.

Permaculture offers a powerful framework to address change and uncertainty, it also presents us with a model of how to rebuild natural systems that have become degraded and eroded, and at the same time, addresses our fragmenting communities.

Interesting new alliances are forming and new possibilities are emerging from behind the terrifying statistics being thrown at us by the IPCC and COP24.

The time to unleash effective climate action is now and we hope to be able to contribute to this process through the momentum gained from One School One Planet.

Because the economy and ecology are essentially two sides of the same coin what we in the West need to realise is that we experience reality largely through the lens of economy. What we are currently experiencing as economic shock is in reality the ending of the age of cheap energy and the huge consequences of that fact.
